Even the ‘curious crowd’ wants to hear a word that will stabilise their lives. Uncertainty of economics & social relationships deeply affect people.

Jesus stands in the market place. Many nets are ready. Many traps, designs, nets, strategies attempt to capture you.
Jesus is also among the multitudes to make His pick.
Lake of Gennesaret was a very happening place in Galilee. Everybody who is somebody was at LG. this was the largest Fish Auction of all of Palestine. Galilee’s Stock Market!! Smelly, noisy, overcrowded – no digitalisation, not suave. Rude & ruthless. Ribald & reckless. .
Galilee itself was mixed with Gentiles – other nationalities. A major highway went thru Nazareth of Galilee. If anybody wanted to start new – revolution, fastest loan approval marketing or preaching, Nazareth was an excellent choice. News will spread fast. You will catch a ready crowd. Galileans spoke thick & fast as if they were firing words rather than speaking words.
Even today there is a fish fry named Peter’s fish. Many pilgrims sail the Sea of Galilee for a 1st century feel of Jesus. Today you can have it right in this auditorium.
Jesus is here with his net and what must Jesus compete with to make you safe?

Don’t only press about him – press into him – Not only to hear the word but to do.
